In a slightly different take on predicting Chairman’s based off of a teams history, I have worked with a few other people to develop “Chairman’s Momentum”, a fairly accurate metric of predicting Regional/Champs Chairman’s Award Teams. 2/3 finalists last year were in the top 3 with the current weighting. A bit more of an explanation is included below.

“Chairman’s Momentum” is based off of 6 factors: if they were a finalist the year prior, which event (first/second/third regional) the team won at, how many RCA/DCCAs the team has in the past 5 years, if the team won Engineering Inspiration in the current year, if the team won a RCA/DCCA the year prior, and if the team won a district that year. The way the calculator is weighted gives a max score of 5. Granted, no “Chairman’s Calculator” is bound to be perfect, and this is more of a way of seeing which teams might be more likely to win at any given event.
The teams included on this list are the ones that I could find that have won a Regional/DCCA this year. Please do not hesitate to let me know of any errors I may have made
