With 26 teams competing and 5 Chairman’s Awards to give out, a lot can happen at Michigan this weekend. **2834 **is looking to continue their two year win streak here and secure their 8th Chairman’s Award banner. 66, who won their District Chairman’s Award at their second event of the season, is similarly looking to continue their two year streak here to get their 11th Chairman’s Banner. **3618 **won Chairman’s here back in 2016 and is looking for a repeat and Chairman’s banner #6. They won Chairman’s at their second FIM event. 245, after a great first event and Chairman’s win, are one of 2017’s State Chairman’s Winners and are looking to reprise that role. 3647, one of the younger teams in the top 5/10, has numerous District Chairman’s wins but hasn’t yet gotten it at States; however, they were the ones that snuck a Chairman’s win away from 66 this year at their first event.

Ontario Provincial Championship

1. 1241 (THEORY6) - 2.41 CPR
2. 4525 (Renaissance Robotics) - 1.58 CPR
3. 4039 (MakeShift Robotics) - 1.42 CPR

8. 6331 (Sabotage) - 0.33 CPR
9. 1360 (Orbit Robotics) - 0.33 CPR

**1241 **has the highest CPR out of every team in the world, and for good reason. They are the reigning Ontario Chairman’s winner from last year. They’ve won 6 Regional or District Championship Chairman’s awards. They’ve managed to win Regional Engineering Inspiration *twice *AND Chairman’s in a single season. **4525 **also won Chairman’s here last year; their first win ever was in 2016 but they’re already a strong contender. They got Chairman’s at their second event of the season and 1241 won it at their first one. **4039 **is the third and final reigning winner from last year and will be looking for Chairman’s banner #5. **2056 **is a well-known robot powerhouse and growing Chairman’s power: they won the Waterloo Regional Chairman’s awards in 2015 and 2016, but last year they only won Chairman’s at the division level; this year they are looking to cause an upset in the reigning winners here.

==============================

That’s it for this week! I’m omitting Chairman’s lists for Houston and Detroit this week as they’ll be the sole focus of the next two week’s posts; plus, in Detroit’s case, a large chunk of the Chairman’s winners will be missing until this weekend’s results are in. Good luck to everyone competing!
