Student on team #65, Huskie Brigade, from Pontiac Northern High School and GM Powertrain.
Is there any teams out there that are having a problem with the new chairman’s deadline?

Dominique,
Please tell me your not having trouble!! I just happen to be on your team and I am willing to help. What is the Chairman’s deadline anyway?
Good luck to everyone, the Chairman’s submission is what you make of it and could be the most beneficial thing you do in your teenage period of life.

We are scrambling very hard to make the new deadline. It is particularily hard for us because we are a small team (12 students). Our robot is suffering slightly because we have so many students working to finish the chairman’s award in time.

I questioned the deadline several times with persons at FIRST. The problem as they see it is the shear quanitity of submissions. That is why the short time.
The problem I see is that Rookies, or small teams without a full year round program are at a great disadavantage not having a lot of material to market and show of. The larger teams do have an advantage.
Our submission went to press this afternoon. The students have been spending weekends putting it together as well as every day many hours. We have 15 plus students working on it as well as coaches, engineers and a GREAT parent that has put in many, many hours.
Stop by our pit to see the “Unique Work of Art”, it is different to say the least. It really tells a STORY. You will see what I mean when you see it.
