We should start a chatroom on AIM or something for all of us here at the Championship who are using wireless(or plugged into a wall somewhere if there are any). We can share whats going on in different parts of the Dome or the World Congress Center (It’s pretty big so its hard to find out what’s happening on the other side without walking for 20 minutes through crowds of people) and just talk about other cool robotics stuff that goes on at competition. If anyone else likes this idea let me know and we can start something.
AIM sounds good ideas for a chatroom name?
I’m on AIM right now.
Chat room name is “FIRST Championship”
I’ll keep it up as long as I’m on the computer so anyone can hop in if they want to talk about anything or have a question about whats going on around the event. I’ll start it again tommorrow morning as soon as I get to a connection point in the dome so we can talk about qualifying matches and such.
hope to see you in the chatroom

Hi!
Finally I found a wireless network I can connect to! Thanks whoever’s this is in the dome. Anyone know of power supplies in the seats, or someplace where I can avoid draining battery online? The two necessities seem mutually exclusive. This is so cool, I’m in the dome and online!
The big square pillars at the top of each aisle have power outlets, hop in the chat room “FIRST Championship” if you need more directions, I’m over at Curie field on a laptop by the top in a black D.A.R.E. shirt for at least another 20 minutes.
What about the IRC chatroom? It’s more suited to many people talking…
paste this into your web browser if you have a client: irc://irc.webmaster.com/#firstrobotics
If you don’t… you can get one at www.hydrairc.com or www.mirc.com (Not the only two, but two good ones)… Trillian also hasa built in IRC functions
