Championship Lottery

I’m not so sure I understand the meaning of this

If the number of teams in a tier is greater than the number of available slots, FIRST will use a lottery system for teams within each tier to determine eligibility for the remaining open slots. The final determination will be first come/first serve until all available openings are filled.
If my team registered this morning, and we’re on the registered list, does that mean we’re in for good? Or, if there are more teams in our tier (tier 3) than there are spots, do we get bounced if we are not drawn in the lottery? Or is the lottery just for teams that do not make it in in the initial registration?

Please clarify this for us. Thanks.

It is pretty straight forward.
The top group of teams is qualified.
Everyone else will fill in the gaps.

So you’re saying that if you’re in the top group, and you register, you are in for good unless you decide to pull out? Is that right?

Whats so hard to understand about it… If you are in the first group, and you have 4000 dollars, you get to go. Plain and simple.
