Do all teams advancing to Houston get to compete with their robot? I have heard just the winning alliance teams and chairman.
If you attend Houston you are there to compete. Everyone there will compete with their robot (their robot will touch the field). Am I misreading your question? There is a needed performance (or chairman’s,hall of fame, etc) to qualify for worlds. Majority of teams that do qualify attend, however, some don’t. Those spots are filled up by whoever is behind them in performance.
You will be placed in a division, and if you win your division (~60 teams), you represent the divisions alliance and compete against other division winning alliances.
I cant tell if this is about EI, RAS, Or something else? But all teams who qual (and register) for CMP the world championship will bring their bot.
Is this Texas State champs or World Champs, both are being held in Houston at the convention center.
Who automatically advances to champs has changed for this year (winning alliance captain, winning alliance 1st pick, Chairmans winner, EI winner). But they all bring their robot.
How does this work? Do students travel alone?
I misremembered. Deans list students don’t have additional judging at CMP. I presume WFFA mentors travel alone.
When a friend went for Dean’s List, she went with her parents. No need to travel alone.
Has any heard word on robo prom for Houston Champs? I can’t find any information on it this year and my team is excited to attend.
Team 399, Eagle Robotics, traditionally coordinates this. Keep tabs on them announcing something on CD since I believe they have in years past but I also wouldn’t be surprised that with the nature of COVID if the event isn’t put on this year.
