We really want some cheap proximity sensors for indexing and have not been able to find any
, anyone have any ideas?

we are planning to use this sensor for our indexing, I was just wondering how you guys programmed it. Did you guys use it as a DigitalInput? The only problem with using it as a digital input, it’ll only tell true or false as the input. Is it possible to get the distance it detects?

It’s a digital switch. On or off. It’s adjustable to when to detect and when not to.
