That looks awesome… are you about to make a lego model of Emoticons? its halfway done… :ahh:

yes, this holonomic drive platform is called a killough platform, named after stephan killough(guy who invented it)
google around about lego killough platform. you’ll find countless ones… even tiny ones. with the “rollers” being the same sized wheels as my omnidrive base one used. i have created a few lego killough platforms and found they take up much more space than a “conventional” omniwheel. and they look better too

Tytus (and other Lego enthusiasts),
You might enjoy this site.

How about JP Brown’s Serious LEGO?

what exactly is holonomoic drive? i am curious

makes me nervous about the spamthingacon =/

A holonomic drive system is a drive system that provides three degrees of freedom:

  • Ability to drive forward
  • Ability to drive sideways
  • Ability to rotate
In essence, a holonomic drive system is unconstrained. It can accelerate in any direction at any time, and accelerate rotationally at any time.

Search chief delphi for “holonomic drive” or “omnidirectional drive”, there’s a lot of threads about this already.

hee hee that would be sweet now tytus!! u have do have some time to attempt to do this now–all well it’s all good-- enjoy!!
