Team 254 Presents: Chezy Champs

When: Saturday & Sunday, September 16-17, 2017 (With Friday Night Load-In)
Where: Bellarmine College Prep, San Jose, California

Team 254 is excited to announce that Chezy Champs is returning for the fourth year! This will be an off-season FRC tournament and we will be playing the 2017 FRC game, Steamworks, with some modifications. As in past years, the focus of the event is on the team experience and we hope teams will have a great time while enjoying an entertaining show.

Volunteers

Awesome to see Chezy Champs back for a 4th year! Totally making it this year. Can’t wait to see how you guys figure out rule updates

Chezy is always so much fun! Hopefully 1072 and 299 will be attending with improvements…

Just to confirm, can teams register multiple robots?

We usually fill all available slots with unique teams. In the off chance we are below capacity and have accepted all applicants we would then invite teams to bring second robots.

I’m not going to be there, but I would like to request to see both Misfires play together. I’m guessing you haven’t torn down the practice bot in the “Even Moar Balls” video.

Pull another shooter into the mix and see if you can hit 150Kpa

5499 has applied!

2 Misfires
2 Pomelo Pummelers
2 other top shooters

Bumper color doesn’t matter, everyone shoots in the same high goal.

2 other Bloodhounds?

FTFY

Will the competition have a broadcast/archive with a good view of the whole field or is that too soon to ask?

Traditionally Chezy Champs has broadcast with a single full-field fixed camera for matches. I wouldn’t expect that to change this year.

TBD on number of feeds and camera views, though we will ensure that during match play the view is static and shows you everything you would need/want to see. My personal goal is to have an additional top view camera like STL Einstein had.

Is there a deadline for signing up to volunteer?

Don’t think so, although I bet they would appreciate it if you signed up sooner rather than later. Last time I signed up like 5 days before the event :P.

You planning on coming down to Cali? If you’re on the fence I’d do so. CC is a great experience not only for teams but volunteers too.

You’re not going to switch camera views constantly à la Houston? Come on, that was my favorite part of watching Southern champs!

Yeah Travis I expect at least one camera under the airship with black and white Chezy Champs logos taped in the camera view.

Those views, while cool, are totally useless for spectators. We will not waste cameras and bandwidth streaming that view.:stuck_out_tongue:

We’d appreciate if you could sign up by ~mid August, and will be trying to fill key roles even earlier. While we’re always appreciative of more help, early signups make our planning easier (and ensure we have a volunteer shirt for you). If you are unsure of your plans, just let us know in the volunteer application or reach out directly at chezychamps (at) team254 (dot) com.

I want to see an exhibition match with 254, 971, and 1678 all shooting high

973, 3309, and 1323 should be able to give them a run for their money
