Wow. This brought me back to middle school when I used to read those books, haha. Awesome.
I’d love to participate in this, and I know of a few other people who would as well.
Will this be made public?
Will anyone who participates receive a hardcopy?
Is this going to be printed in hardcopy book format, or published digitally?
Could it be turned into an eBook?
Remember you probably don’t have rights to use the words “Chicken Soup” and “Soul” in the same title. Be creative, like all those appliance dealers who don’t have “Super Bowl” sales.
Anyway, I would totally do this, it sounds like a great idea! You should at least post these online so everyone can read them. Maybe make your own blog or website. And of course I would love to see this published if you could get enough stories.
We’re super excited to get everyone involved. However, at this time I will need to speak to my team to create a plan.
I’m going to go ahead and say they will be posted on our website. We will also have copies in our pits at regionals, although it is unclear as to how many. We would like to present this to judges, but we also want to give them out to everyone who wants them. If anyone would like a hard copy, we may charge five dollars to cover the cost of printing (at competition we use expensive, high quality paper), or we may only hand those out in our information packages and direct anyone who would like one to our website. I will need to speak to my team before I make any final decisions, but I think the best way to do it is just to bring cards to the competition to direct people to our website, and keep the regular hardcopies for judges. We’ll see.
Either way, I will make sure the people who participate have some sort of access to the book. I know I would want a copy if I was participating, and its a pretty cool keepsake if I do say so myself.
I have no idea how to turn it into an ebook, but I’ll ask around my team and see if anyone does. There tends to be a lot of random, hidden talent on my team
