Now I do not have these stats obviously but I see these companies like youtube and Google doing videos about the 2019 year, we also see FIRST do this every year after the season ends with all the stats from that season so I was wondering if that would be something the Mods of Chief Delphi could do. Do any of you have any thoughts on that?
It would be sweet, but I’m leery to ask the mods to do anything in addition to their normal duties here (ya get what ya pay for).
Could this be done with automation?
IIRC there is a plugin called Discourse Year in Review or something like that, that will automatically collect all that kinda stuff and post it at the end of the year. As of the latest ive heard the plugin is active but you might wanna ask @Brandon_Martus
It is installed … should have something right after the new year.
It had better feature a lot of arguing about DIY plywood.
that thread was unbelievably long
Not as long as the Falcon 500 thread
The only thread we’ll ever need
That one does not have enough attacking and conflict. It is pretty mild mannered. We need the combative threads.
The best thread ever should be mentioned.
No. We don’t.
Threads with civil discussion, absolutely. Threads with disagreement, sure.
But threads that devolve into a shouting match? I can’t say “no” clearly enough. (Phone autocorrect: “shooting” match. Sometimes it seems like it.)
I think they were being sarcastic about needing more combative threads. Hopefully.
Indeed
Good thing I didn’t add on any other comments then.
Looking forward to see the output and what might be in there… or not…
One thing I would be interested to see is how many different FRC/FTC teams are represented and active on CD. Not sure if there is a way to get that data easily anymore, on the old site it was at least possible to sort users by team number.
If Boltman doesn’t make it into the review I will be very disappointed.
Fixed that for you
Mafia better be represented in this thing. That has some seriously enormous threads.
Fantasy First too. There are soo many of those threads.
