CIM motor (specific model): Are these elligible for use?

Hey, our team just recieved our order for 2 additional CIM motors for use on our robot (the KOP motors are used in our drivetrain, obviously), and one of us noticed what might be a problem.

Following is the text for the KOP motors and our new ones, written exactly as it is on the casing for each motor:

KOP:
FR801-001
12 Vdc
101308

New motors:
BI802-001A
M4-R0062-12
12VDC
102708

Perhaps we’re over-analyzing the rules (and perhaps we don’t know enough about specific motor models), but we just wanted to verify if these motors we ordered are allowable for use on our robot, or if they’re a different enough model as to make them illegal. They’re identical on the outside, but I know that doesn’t necessarily make them the same. So some quick help would be wonderful, as we need at least one fast, legal motor for our ball shooter to be completed in the next week.

Thanks in advance!

Those motors are legal for your two additional CIM motors per

Motors specifically permitted on 2009 FRC ROBOTS include:

D. One or two additional 2-1/2” CIM motors (part #FR801-001 and/or M4-R0062-12) in addition to those provided in the Kit Of Parts. This means that up to four, and no more, 2-1/2” CIM motors can be used on the ROBOT.

Emphasis mine.

FYI, I’m pretty sure the The “101308” and “102708” are dates on the motors.

Thanks a bunch for the quick response!

It’s great to know that we can use these motors; saves us a tooooon of stress and money that we thought we might’ve had to experience.
