Class of 2012 - Dean's List Finalists

So, as the Week 1 Regionals are starting tomorrow, I thought to start a new thread for the new and incoming class of Dean’s List Finalists! It’s amazing to see the 19 other members from the 2 classes of winners previous (Classes of '10 & '11), and see the individual impacts that each of them have made to their own communities and FIRST.

But, it’s not just the 20 that make up the Dean’s List as a group.

There have been 194 deserving students over the past two years that have been designated Dean’s List Finalist members for their participation & service within FRC, FIRST as a whole, and their own teams/schools/communities/states/nations. And each one of them have made and are hopefully continuing making a large impact on our culture and generation. So, let’s see what happens this year!

If you can, just PM me or post on the thread of the Dean’s List students from your individual regionals, and we’ll keep a running tally on the thread of the students. Or if you’re an avid fan of Twitter like me, tweet when it happens! You can tweet me directly (@iamlegend360); or we could use a hashtag (#itsthedeanslist, maybe?)

Congrats to the incoming class of 2012, and GO FIRST!

-Kyle J., Member of Peachtree & Championship Classes of 2010

I’ll be posting up on the thread all the winners when all the regionals today have posted their Dean’s List winners; however, if you have information on the winners at the individual regionals, post it up on the thread!

Also out of curiosity I think it would be interesting to post whether or not they were a finalist last year and what their grade is, as FIRST has said preference would go to juniors. I think it would be interesting to see how that influences the final breakdown.

Ben Wiggins from Roseville (MN) FireBears Team 2846 is a Lake Superior Regional Dean’s List winner. Ben is the FireBears third Dean’s List winner in three years.

Abigail Schaefer from More Robotics Team 1714 was also a Lake Superior Dean’s List winner.

From the Oregon Regional I (Mary Steiner) am a senior and Marina Dimitrov is a junior and neither of us have been finalists before

Sagarika Das (me) – Team 449

Congrats to all of the other Dean’s List Finalists and hope to meet you at St. Louis!

Rachel Wilbur is from team 2363, that’s two in a row for us.

that’s 4 for Team 1912 Combustion at the Bayou
