810 Seems to be experiencing a pretty big error with our Classmate. We powered it up for the first time lastnight, and after taking almost 30 minutes to boot, it ran perfectly fine.
When we started it up this morning though, its a much different story. The “Windows has recovered from an error” screen comes up and askes to start in Safe Mode or Normal. Neither option will boot successfully, and Safe Mode also shows a very brief Blue Screen of Death, to quick to get an error code though.
Im getting in touch with FIRST right now, but I just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing difficulties.
UPDATE: I spoke to FIRST on the phone this morning, and its a known problem, several other teams have reported the same issue. They are requesting that teams email them to report the problem. Heres their response;

Good afternoon Mr. Difiore,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Classmate. The manufacturer has requested that teams use ctl.helpserve.com for getting help with any hardware issues (and FIRST will be updating our site with this information shortly).
Meanwhile, you can go to http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/content.aspx?id=10934 and download the Mandatory Driver Station Update/Driver Station Installer (for use on any PC) to any PC and use the Driver Station software as if it were on the Classmate. Please don’t let this issue hold you up from your development.
Good luck,
Kate

Seems as though this is a hardware failure, most likley the HD. If I get any more information, I’ll be sure to post it here.
