THE KOP CHECKLIST REFERS TO 2 KEYS; E09 AND E11. MY TEAM GOT THE E11. WHAT IS EACH KEY FOR AND WHAT IS THE SEQUENCE OF INSTALL RELATIVE TO 2012 LABVIEW, UTILITIES AND DASHBOARD?
First off, for sanity and courtesy, please don’t use all caps in both the entirety of the post and the title of the thread.
As for your question, reimage with the usb key, validate Win7 (must have internet connection), click through the defender setup, Labview USB (Full, Tools or DS Installation, depending on which you want, refer to the instructions on the labview packet) then Java or WindRiver, if you use either. Then update the DS, and Utilities update.
All of this information is available in the Getting Started with the 2012 Control System PDF.
E09 i believe was given to rookie teams or teams who did not compete last year.
Please, don’t just ask Chief Delphi because you have no idea. Try to find anything on the FIRST Site, and if you can’t, see if there are any threads on the topic that you are confused about before you create a new thread.
The 09 key is for 2009 and 2010 laptops,. The 11 is for 2011+ laptops.
This is generally true. If you purchased a spare at any time you need to flip the laptop over anx check the model number on the back.
My question is: if you have both types, how do you get the other thumb drive? Is there a download site?
In the past you could contact FIRST and you could get ahold of the USB drive for the one you didn’t have.
So if my team 2531 has a E10 netbook we should call and get the E09 flash drive?
The simplest answer is to find a local team that has what you need, and ask to borrow it.
Yes, that’s definately the simplest answer.
Too bad we’re 50 miles from the closest team, and 100 miles to the next one.
