Clippard Tanks???

I have been trying, with no success, to find out where to get more Clippard tanks. Any help? :ahh: I’m getting frustrated.

Try the on-line store at clippard.com.

Be sure you have the Clippard part number from the spec sheets, or off the tank in the KOP.

Or give them a call and ask for the contact info on the local vendor in your area.

or even better… there was an update about it that you can order more tanks from innovation first (they’ll be free except postage and handling)

I have emailed IFI and they did not have the part but maybe that will change in the coming week. They did not even know they were distributing the Clippard tank and told me to email FIRST about it.

IFI is distributing all spare parts this year according to FIRST.

I talked to Clippard today. They do not deal on the phone with the public. They told me that we had to go through our local distributor. They only had 7 when I went to order online and there is a 2+ week ship time. I found the distributors on the Clippard website.

According to the IFI Robotics spare robot part page (link) the expected availability of the Clippard Tanks is on 1-18-05.

How many of these tanks are we allowed to use on our robot this year? i rememeber last year we were only allowed to use 2 tanks and we were always short on air. were the rules changed this year?

Just two.

I know that 2 Clippard tanks is the maximum number you are allowed to have on the robot, but is it the required number as well? I know this seems a bit stupid, but I have seen cases of this before, and frankly this seems like the sort of thing FIRST would require.

I do not think that you are required to have any at all as long as you dont have pnumatics on the bot.

Either 0, 1 or 2.

You can use pneumatics and use no clippards if you would like. But there would be no point.
