My CNC machine was working just fine a moment ago but suddenly it stopped responding to the controller and my computer. When I try to move it with the controller it shows that it’s not moving. The x,y, and z axis does not change. Before that it wasn’t hitting the Z limit switch and was constantly trying to go up and up. Then we restarted it and it completely stopped.
When you turned it off, did you manually move the knobs on your z axis to make sure it was no longer hitting the limit switch before you turned it back on?
No we didnt move the knobs.
Manually move the Z axis away from your limit switch while the machine is off. Turn it all back on, reset so that you are not estopped, and then try to jog the machine.
We just did that it doesn’t work. The mill does not move at all.
Can you specify which machine you’re using? Some of them have quirks, which unfortunately require restarting multiple times, or doing other steps in case of a machine crash.
omio CNC.
And you’ve checked you didn’t trip any breakers or fuses, right?
