Following! My rookie FTC Team’s Coach would love these as well : )
I’llLimelight, an integrated vision coprocessor probably post more on this topic later, but this thread came to mind and I believe it is really important.
I don’t have any training resources for mentoring, but I do have some advice. Depending on how your team operates, I think the most important thing you can do as a mentor is be a source of institutional knowledge to guide your team through the season with pointed questions and examples from robots past. That can only come with experience, so new mentors should expect to spend the first few years learning along side the students and not put any expectation on themselves to know everything. Any technical training resources that you would use with students is probably worthwhile giving to new mentors as well. Spectrum and Citrus Circuits have great resources for intro to FRC robots, but I don’t know what there is out there for FTC specifically. Its also important to have fun so you want to keep coming back year after year and build that institutional knowledge.
Also make sure paperwork gets done and kids don’t loose fingers.
