College & Career - Workshop Slides

Hi y’all,

I wanted to share these college and career slides that were used in a team workshop. A lot of students have a lot of anxiety around what they are doing after high school and even after college. I think teams can help their students by going over responsible and safe LinkedIn creation, how to create resumes and cover letters, and how to apply to scholarships. Note, these slides are not complete and are going to be updated with more information.

My daughter’s “job” during her junior and senior years was to apply for as many scholarships as she could find. She earned more that way than she ever could have done flipping burgers.

That totally makes sense. The high schools in my area actually make a packet of scholarships for people to apply to. These scholarships had few to no applications even after the schools advertising. I was almost guaranteed to receive something. Pretty much free money!
