In the game manual, the CMYK values for the blue segment of the Control Panel is 100, 0, 0, 0 (Table 3-3: CONTROL PANEL color chart). However, the color that we were given in the KOP is very different from Cyan, both to the naked eye and to the extent where printing artifacts from multiple cartridges being used can be seen from several feet away (as supposed to the yellow where the artifacts are not visible either far away or close up). Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know what the true color for Blue on the Control Panel is? We are planning to print our own color wheel for the Control Panel, and I don’t want us to print the wrong color. I understand that there will be printing differences on the field due to imperfections in the printing process, but the difference in color is so great from true Cyan that it doesn’t seem likely to be merely a printing issue. Thanks for letting me know!
I noticed that it looked wrong when making my cheat sheet, but I chalked that up to inaccurate CMYK->RGB conversion. Interesting to hear that it’s similar for the color swatches (which I haven’t seen yet).
This is what I have when I used my phone to convert a photo to CMYK. We decided our code is going to be very lenient for all of our colors but one of our color sensors (not the KOP one, the KOP one was fine) freaked out with the Blue and Green segments (I think the green was just due to not incredible printing quality).
