Comparing brake mode between brushed and brushless motors in preventing back drive

Dues anyone have experience comparing brushed and brushless motors in brake mode? There have been some comments implying the backdrive prevention potential is greater with brushed motors but I was hoping someone might have done a head to head comparison. We are trying to decide on a lift motor that doesn’t require an actual brake.

Just tested a NEO motor on a 31:1 (I think) gear ratio elevator climb. Brake mode works well with over ,30 seconds for 1 foot of movement.
