Competition Rules Test

This year we decided to make up a “Rules Test” to help our students brush up on the most important rules in this year’s game. I thought the CD community might be able to benefit from it, mentors and students alike.

The test is intended to be very challenging and actually getting a good score should take a good deal of studying. It focuses on rules and game play mechanics that are important to the drive team so I left out anything about the dimensions of the field and some of the robot design requirements.

You can find the test here!

Please leave any feedback you might have, I would love to see what you guys think about it. So far our highest score is from a student (61%), maybe someone around here can beat that

Do you have an answer key?

Yeah I do, though I don’t want to make it public just yet. Some of our students are still re-taking it and trying to improve their scores.

I can PM it to you if you want though? I’m interested to see if I made any mistakes.

May I also get a pm with the answer key?

Can I have a pm with the answer key as well. Thanks A lot!!

May I also be PM with the answer key. This will be rather useful for me to give to my team as a quiz. Thanks!

Same here please  thank you!

excellent test. LOVE it.

I’d like an answer key also please. Great test.

Could I please get a PM of the answer key as well?

Thanks!
Randy

Answer keys for everyone!

If you notice any mistakes be sure to let me know.

Please PM me the key too. I want to use this with my team immediately - let them know that there’s more to know!

Could you PM me the key as well? I think we’ll use it for driver/human player testing.

I just got 100%

My answer for #4:
a) hold up the placard
b) bang on the glass
c) get the crowd to yell, ‘Ball, ball, ball!’

And hey guys, if you want the answer key, PM Brian and he can reply. Don’t make him do all the work to PM you.

Uh oh, looks like one of the answers may have been wrong on the Key.
In question 21 whether or not “Intentionally Ramming at high speed” is a foul may have been misinterpreted originally. I thought one thing but another person here on CD corrected me and it appears that what he said matches the manual.

Sorry guys, I switched the answer. (though I’m still not 100% convinced  )

Just a student today blow our others out of the water with a whopping 78% on her first try

Glad to see students are getting the hang of it. Hope it is helping out other teams as well.
