This is my first year being a programmer and this new radio is kicking my butt. I have gotten lost trying to config it for the past 2 days and now I am throwing in the towel. how the frick do you config the dam thing.
Hi! I assume you’ve been trying to work through Programming Your Radio. It would be much easier to help you if you could explain what steps you have taken and point out where your experience differed from what you expected.
Have you tried this source from FRC: Programming your Radio — FIRST Robotics Competition documentation
I recommend using a Windows 10/11 to do this process
Currently that page describes the process for the old OpenMesh radios, not the new VH-109 radios that will be used in 2025.
@bovlb Linked the documentation from Vivid-Hosting

Something that I had to do when configuring my radio was to disable the laptops WIFI adapter in the windows control panel (Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Disable WIFI).
Then, connecting to it via ethernet allowed me to connect to the radio’s config page.
Thank all of you for the help but sadly it is a problem with our laptop our ethernet port died so we will have to get a new laptop.
Get a USB adapter!
thats some smart thinking
