Congradulations to the NYC FIRST! Regional Champions

Hello,

My name is Mike originally from 522 but in the work force now!

I’d like to say Thank You to teams 694 and 421 for being 522’s alliance partners. You guys made the #3 Alliance the strongest alliance on the field.

I’d like to give a shout out to the 522 Team itself for creating a magical robot “GLORIA”. She was tough to move all day. She had 0 problems throughout the competition. Gloria needed little to no maintenance during this competition, and when u see that in a team built robot u know right off the back they will be the ones to beat later on in the day.

Congradulations to the opposing alliance teams they were strong all day in the seeding rounds and even stronger in the final matches of the Regional. I thank you for making this the most exciting matches ever to be seen.

Once Again congradulations to Teams 522, 694, and 421 You all did suberb and i wish u much luck and success in your next competition wherever it may be held.

Hope to see you all again next year at the 2004 NYC FIRST! Regionals.

No mention of 596? I’d like to point out that were in first place from the first match to the last. Our team lost a match in the semi-final match and unfortunately we were eliminated. Congrats to the wizards, and to 421 whom I was scouting.

i think outta the 3 years i attended the nyc regionals, this year was probably the most competitive and all teams that attended this year did very well including all the rookie teams espicially 1224.

the matches was fairly random for us we didin’t see or partner up with any one for then like more then 2 times if that much and go up against the same teams more then 2 times if that much.

Many props to team 522 for its untouchable performance on the field and excellent personalities off of it. We couldn’t have made it without you.

The same goes to team 421 – For a bot on casters, you folks kicked some serious Sterilite!

Team 694 is very much looking forward to seeing both of you at Houston.

Congratulations to Brooklyn Tech’s Techengineers (team 334) for being such cool people. From your hosting of Lazer tag to your graciously professional behavior prior to matches, in matches and afterwards, you more than deserve your Chairman’s Award. Can’t wait to see you folks at Houston either!

Congratulations also to the High School of Economics and Finance’s EcoRobotics (1238), Lehman High School’s Lionics (1230), and University Neighborhood High School’s Power Gifted Newbies (1237) for their stellar rookie performances. Hopefully your top-twelve scores this year are indicators of great things to come.

yeah hah, we fixed our robot when it was too late, ohh well, we will do much better next year.

and 522 your robot was pure awesome, it had amazing traction on top of the ramp also.

Lets not forget team 334 for winning the chairman’s award now! If it wasn’t for our first spirit, the finals at the NYC regional would have been quite different!!

I am also looking for video…email please to robots2003@mrreed (with .com at the end).

We REALLY enjoyed the regional, and appreciate the hospitality of the New York teams. Thanks especially to 522 for all your help during the event. You made it possible for us to make it as far as we did (but not far enough to beat you!) The RoboWizards program is truly an example for other teams.

Thanks also to 380 for choosing us as an alliance partner, and to 369…our other alliance partner. These are two dedicated, serious, and effective groups. This alliance made our dreams come true.

We had much fun in New York…you are lucky to live around so much energy, and so many friendly people.

I thought all the teams at NYC were all fantastic. I can’t speak for the rest of our team, but for me special thanks must go to 334 for organising events, their unfailing cheerfulness and hospitality, and above all being probably the nicest people on the face of the planet. The chairman’s award was the very least they deserved for all their efforts.

Also to team 481, thoroughly deserving winners of the sportsmanship award and really great people. And of course our alliance partners 549 and 743, who just ruled. Finally, well done to the winning alliance for wiping the floor!

I could go on, but thanks to everyone for a great couple of days. We look forward to seeing all of you next year.
