Congrats Chris!
Chris, congratulations from the Novaks and the entire Bomb Squad. I appreciate the attentive care and support you have given my students - especially that business plan girl.
Team 234 was the first (of many, for sure) team I saw that made me go, “Wow, that is the perfect FIRST team.” That was many years ago and your team has NEVER given me one reason to reconsider this opinion. I know you and your family are largely responsible for that and I honor your accomplishment. (Now that your team has made me cry twice in two days, I may change my mind…)
W00t! Congratulations, Chris!
Add one more to the healthy list of Championship WFA winners from the Midwest.
From Team 111 - Congratulation on the WFA Chris. You are a rock-steady role model for all of us.
I am glad to know you. I am sorry to not have gotten a chance to shake your hand and congratulate you in person this weekend. Look forward to seeing you at IRI.
Such an amazing award winner. Congratulations, Chris.
Congratulations Chris, well deserved

I was really excited and happy when Chris was announced as the winner. I may have even embarrassed myself a bit with my enthusiasm. Congratulations.
Chris,
You have been an inspriration to me and my team for many year. It was fantastic to hear you name announced as the 2010 WFA Winner. Well deserved and long overdue. Keep up the good work!

Chris, thank you for all that you have done for me, FIRST, team 234, and IRI. This award is very deserving. Congratulations!
Chris, this was an award for you that many of us saw coming years ago… Being a part of 234 was one of the greatest eye-opening experiences of my life. Your wisdom and overall demeanor towards the program inspired me to become a mentor at Purdue. I would also say that you were one of the guiding factors in my decision to go to Purdue. I knew when I was on CyberBlue that I was very lucky to have a mentor like you and would love to thank you for all that I have mentioned and all that I have omitted.
And it hasn’t been said enough yet in this thread or even over the past 3 days, so here it goes…
Congratulations Chris!!! Very well deserved!!!
Thank you for all of the congratulations and good wishes. It has been an unbelievable and exciting weekend, to say the least.
I was incredibly surprised with this and what an awesome way to start a day. It was so nice to be welcomed to the WFA family by all of the previous winners and to join them, Dean, Woodie and Dr. Murphy on stage. They are an awesome group of people and I am honored and excited to be a part of this. (Interestingly, I was with several of them in the days leading up to Friday and had no indication at all! They are all great secret keepers.)
Thank you to everyone who greeted and congratulated me during the weekend. It was great to see and talk to so many people in the pits, in the dome, at the hotel and at dinner. My phone was buzzing with emails and texts before I made it out of the stands.
Thank you to the current WFA’s and the selection team. I don’t know exactly how this works (I guess I will soon learn) but I am thrilled to be your choice.
And, Thank You to the past and present students on Cyber Blue. I won the Arizona Regional WFFA in 2006, when none of our current students were even on the team. They have continued to update my submission to make me eligible for the Championship WFA and I am honored that they have taken the time and made the effort to do this. You are a great team to be a part of.
Thanks all!
