Congratulations to the underdogs, the awesome world championship alliance! Between 294’s clearing and 67’s buzzer beater hangs, you guys were awesome.
I particularly want to congratulate 177 on behalf of all of Shaker Robotics. I’ve been trying to sell continuous improvement to my team for months, and when we got knocked out in Connecticut, a few of my teammates pointed out that 177 was taking parts of their robot off. I told these guys “Watch for them at Championships. 177 will show what continuous improvement can do.” Congratulations on proving me right and being inspiring.
yes, congrads guys! it was an amazing finals on newton against you. we tried to play some defense, but yall were just too much! it was a great alliance, and i was proud to be a part of the newton division that took home the championship! great job guys!
You guys put up an awesome fight, and the Curie curse, combined with a strong alliance, and MSC payback brought you out on top. Quite the exciting finals I would say. Congrats on your win!
I wish I’d had a chance to see those matches! I was at our school’s prom, though, so I missed the whole Einstein division. Can’t wait to go back and watch them all though; congrats to everyone who made it that far, and a huge congrats to 177, 67 and 294!
Definitely congratulations to the winners, 294, 67, and 177! we were so excited to see you guys come out on top and win it all! we only wish we coulda been there to see it in person! great job to everybody else too!
Who’s HOT?
On behalf of team 20, congratulations on a great season to these three teams! It was great being pit mates with u guys, 67. I was particularly impressed with their ability to continue upward movement even after time ran out for their elevation.
Furthermore, congratulations to all teams that made it to the championships this year! It takes a lot of time and effort, and I hope the experience was as great for everyone as it was for me and my team.
Wow. What an experience this year was! 294, 67, and 177, congratulations on the well-earned win.
67, way to represent Michigan! Year in and year out you guys always have a remarkably effective and innovative robot, and this year was no exception. Congratulations and I hope to see you at IRI!
294, a beautiful machine indeed. Excellent driving and I wish you the best of luck in the future!
177, 5 years in a row on Einstein, and 2 wins… WOW! I guess you guys have the right combination of a great robot and a shred of good luck. Keep up the good work and good luck making it 6 years in a row next year.
I look forward to seeing all of you next year, in St. Louis!
Congratulations to all of you for an amazing performance. It was a great finals match on Newton, and it was a great to watch you guys on Enstein. I would also like to thank team 16 and team 343 for helping to get to finals on Newton. Without them, we might not have been able to compete against you guys.
It was an awesome competition this weekend, that’s for sure.
We’ll hopefully see you all again in St. Louis next year. (Except 67, we’ll see you guys in Michigan first.)
Echoing many before me, congrats on your win. So many people thought (me included) that 469 and 1114 had it in the bag, but man, were we wrong! 3 amazing robots, you really deserved the win! Congratulations!
Thanks to 585 and the other teams who lent us batteries. We couldn’t have done it without you. We have all the batteries in our crate and will be returning them to their owners.
Thanks to all for the kind words of congratulations and encouragement. It was an awesome experience for the whole team.
On behalf of my entire team i would just like to say congrats to each of you guys.
67- It seemed like we couldnt get away from you guys. Between the two great semifinal matches at MSC and then the finals on Newton. Your team is really a great model team for FIRST and you deserve everything you have acheived. It has been awesome playing against you guys and we hope to see you at IRI or other off season events
294- All i can say is great job. Being able to take the number one seed on Newton was really an acheivement. Although I never saw you guys play until the elims, you had a great bot. Alot of the top bots on Newton had the same general layout(tunnel bot, kick from all zones, ball sucker), you guys just put it all together perfect. Great job in elims and you deserve the championship.
177- 5 consecutive years on Einstiein? wow! 67 and 294 did a great job on their 3rd pick. You guys came together when they needed and did all that you could. Great job controlling the middle zone for your alliance and hanging in almost every match. You guys were really a big reason that your alliance won all their matches.
All of you great job this year and you all deserve that you got. Hope to see you all next year in St. Louis. Enjoy your guys win now because you never know what will happen next year
Congrats to one beach robot from another one!!! On behalf of the Beach Bots, we’re thrilled to have you bring the World Championship trophy back to Southern California!
294, I saw you guys in LA, and you did not disappoint there or at championships. Your control of the far zone as a fullback was nothing short of heroic. No team I saw was better able to deal with the defense that 2041 was dishing out. You were able to disrupt the Curie alliance’s cycle to start a cycle of your own consistently.
67, no team this season that I saw was as smooth as you were at transitioning from putting balls into the goal from the middle to putting balls into the goal from the near zone. The knowledge and experience to be in the right zone at the right time made it seem as though you were in both at once.
177, speaking as someone who has had the pleasure of working with you at multiple competitions, I can say definitively that if someone doubts your scouting, then they haven’t done their homework. Your control of the middle and your hanging made you look good in matches, but your contribution goes far beyond that. Perhaps people will give you more credit for your strategic dominance.
With that said, Einstein’s matches were very enjoyable to watch, from an entertainment standpoint and from a strategic standpoint.
