For those who don’t know, Ali has been a staple of the Mid Atlantic district before the district system even existed. Her contributions and awesomeness are much too lengthy to list here, but I cannot think of a more deserving person to win the VOTY.

A few of my teammates have asked “hey, doesn’t it feel like [Ali] is at every single FMA event?”. Yep, sure seems that way. Seeing her may as well be how we know we’re in the right place and didn’t get lost and are accidentally playing in Indiana. Incredibly deserving VOTY–congratulations!

Back on topic: thank you Ali, for modeling and living the values of FIRST volunteers. As Dean observed today during his 14:24 speech, we all get inspiration from doing this. VoY recipients inspire me .

Countless hours at events and countless hours behind the scenes. I can think of no better volunteer to receive this award. A truely remarkable person, Ali has been a member of the MAR/FMA/FIRST bedrock for the better part of a decade. Having the privledge to work with her during this period, I can honestly say there is no one more deserving.

Ali is truly wonderful. We are SO lucky that she is such an integral part of FMA and I’m so happy that FIRST honored her this year. Congratulations Ali!!!
This was my first year as a Championship VC and Ali was so great to work with and was an amazing example of what to strive for. Honored to work with Ali and big congratulations on this well deserved award!!

I’ve had her as VC in the past (Carson 2016 if memory serves). Well deserved indeed. Congrats!
I did field reset this year at the FMA Mt Olive event where Ali was one of the event managers.
A couple of students tripped over the substation barrier while carrying their robot off the field after their match, causing the robot to fall on them.
Despite having a million responsibilities off the field, and despite there being many other volunteers in the area, Ali was one of the first people on the scene, dropping everything else immediately to make sure the students were ok.
As a newer volunteer, I was really inspired by her leadership in that moment (and all weekend) and her commitment to the students. It made me want to come back and volunteer again next year

Ali is everywhere when she works an event and never stops moving. Her winning is a long time coming and has made my heart soar with joy.

Congratulations to Ali. VOTY was well deserved.
Ali has been the VC for me the past two years at FIRST Championship. It has been a pleasure. She is helpful and recognizes top performers in her end of day meetings.
I hope I get the opportunity to work with her more.
