yes, i know it is my own team…
::ok i am posting this one again, just to get the word out.:::
Maybe I am a little out of it here, maybe it’s the jet lag…
but I am going to congratulate my own team.
A team of 15 and only 2 returning students; mostly kids who are normally shy, kids who are freshmen, sophomores and seniors. Students who all come from different schools and different residental areas; kids, who for the most part, had nothing in common. Students who had to withstand a semester of classes to help them become the best of the best; students who stayed up until 2 working on things to do with our team.
Kids who came together and got a very small team a finalist spot for the chairman’s award. Students who did all they could to convince the judges that we deserved what we had worked so hard for. A small sponsor, 2 engineers, 2 advisors and 3 teachers. Did I mention 100% enthusiastic spirit?
Congratulations Team 1, your performance in the pits was top-notch, and now I have realized that the effort James, Rick and I spent on the video was TIME WELL-SPENT.

p.s. Congrats to Mike Vezzetti, our turret operator- co-captain and one of my best friends. He received one of the scholarships awarded by Drexel this year (and he is only a junior!) Next year will be his 3rd year and I am sure he will be team 1’s captain. Now, not only our robot is breaking the molds, but our members are too.
And also congratulations to our animation team (Jeremy Jacob, Josh Davis, Mike Vezzetti, Tom Stanis and ‘Mithser’ Justin Howard) for being recognized by the Autodesk Guru on Thursday. Your animation ROCKED and you all know it!
