Congratulations Woburn Robotics – Team 188

Crescent Robotics, Team 610, would like to congratulate Woburn Robotics, Team 188 for winning the 2003 West Michigan Regional. As THE Original Canadian team, Woburn has been a pioneer in spreading FIRST across international borders. Woburn has been a model team for not only Canadian FIRST Teams, but to all the teams involved in this incredible competition. Last year, they were awarded the 2002 Canadian Regional Chairman’s Award for their work in expanding FIRST to Canada, founding the Canadian Regional along with our team, helping to create 20 new Canadian teams, and doubling that figure this year. Woburn has consistently had an extremely competitive robot, but this is the first Regional Championship win, after being a finalist in this year’s Canadian Regional.

Great Work Woburn! You guys sure deserve it!

See you down in Houston!

Your friends, Crescent Robotics

Thanks guys. Congrats to you too, for winning the Chairman’s Award at the Canadian Regional, you deserved it!

I think I speak for Team Lightning 862 in saying that you guys are great! Congrats on winning Western Michigan.

After a frustrating event for us, with problems and discouragement all the way - you guys were a bright spot on the day. And it was nice to have a nice team win!

Good luck in Texas! GO Blizzard4!

P.S. - Did you keep your mentors ponytail?

Thanks a lot, this has proven to be a really good season, and a really, really tough robot. As for Steve, he threw it away. It was pretty nasty anyway…

Congrats on West Michigan - and on being a finalist in the Canadian Regional. I talked to some of your team members at our hotel in Grand Rapids, as well as in your pit area, and everyone on your team was very friendly and eager to talk about your robot. You did great, and hopefully you will in Houston too.

By the way…if you need an alliance partner if you make the quarterfinals, 818 would love to work with you.

thanks for the all the good words about our team. Canadians are known for being good people ; )

hmm… you wouldnt happen to be the person who schooled jonathan and got that mini-football from the machine would you? = )

honestly… as a rookie on a veteran team, i didnt know what to expect… i thought i would be bumbling around doing nothing, but the competitions, the build period, everyone was having fun and it was including everyone… welcome to another first-addict
