Connect A Million Minds FIRST Robotics Invitational

Thanks to the generosity of Time Warner and the hard work of the Central Ohio Robotics Initiative, the 4th annual Connect A Million Minds FIRST Robotics Invitational will be help on Saturday June 22, 2013 at Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, OH. This year we will be adding a pizza dinner and a couple of robots vs. humans frisbee throwing competitions on Friday evening. There are hotels and restaurants close to the venue. The cost is $75 per team (plus a requested donation of two cans of food per student team member for a local food bank). We will once again have a webcast of the event and will send DVDs of the webcast to participating teams. To register visit the Central Ohio Robotics Initiative web site at www.growrobotics.org.

There’s no way we can make it from OR, but I love the humans vs. robots Frisbee contest. We’ll have to work that in at some point.

3266 is excited to be making a return since we weren’t able to make it last year! We’ll be bringing two robots with us.

1038 is also bringing 2 robots, 2 drive teams.

hmmm… I might have to plan a vacation back home that weekend (I grew up in Worthington) and stop by!

We will take 32 teams max we have signed up 25.

And thanks for all of the help in setting up and breaking down the field.

This was a great offseason event. There were many quality teams there and it felt like a regional during the competition season. Thanks to all the volunteers that made the event possible and a special thanks to our alliance partners 3138 and 3591, you guys were awesome
