Hi -
We are having problems connecting to the cRIO in port 1. We are currently tethered to the cRIO from the laptop. We had the whole system working a few days ago, and now it won’t work anymore
We tried connecting it to port 2 and we were able to connect, but port 1 doesn’t work. I remember reading somewhere or someone telling me that we can’t use port 2 except for the camera. Also, we are putting on a camera, so we need both ports.
Your help is appreciated.

Make sure your static addressing is correct
10.xx.yy.6 For non class mate
255.0.0.0
10.xx.yy.2
The xx.yy is your team number so 10.19.86.6 would be our teams IP address.
also its a possibility that the cRio port is striped out and if that’s the case you may have to buy a new cRIO. As far as I know the camera is the only thing that can go into the 2nd port. Hope I could be of help.
The cRIO ports have link lights to help diagnose a loose connection or bad cable. The link light doesn’t care what port or IP or anything else is set. If you don’t have link, you have a HW issue with the cable or connector.
Once that is not in questions, use the imaging tool or Measuremnt And Automation Explorer (MAX) to verify the IP address for port 1 and 2. One should be based on team, 2 should always be 192.168.0.something. If you have any issues, the imaging tool can reimage the cRIO and put the port configurations correct for your team. You will then need to build and deploy code again.
