Connecting Andymark Absolute Encoders to Talon Motors for Swerve Dru vw

We currently have this Analog Breakout Board: https://www.andymark.com/products/talon-srx-analog-breakout-board

How would we be able to connect this directly to the TalonSRX motor?

I’m assuming you mean the TalonSRX motor controllers; in that case, you’ll want these cables.

Also available here, but I’m not 100% sure if it’s the correct cable. It’s a lot cheaper.

Sorry we weren’t very clear in our original post. We’re using the absolute encoder for the direction of the swerve drive. How do we connect it to the TalonSRX?

This is what our swerve drive looks like:

Also, would it be bettter to connect it directly to the roboRIO or the Talon?

What you are looking for is on page 25 of the Talon SRX User’s Guide.

I would recommend connecting to the encoders to your Talon SRXs. When used in the correct mode the Talon SRX automatically detects when an analog signal has passed over the discontinuity and will wrap around the encoder value. Also, the onboard PID works very well.
