We have two talons on a shooter with one running a closed loop PID using an encoder plugged into it and the other acting as a slave. What is the default rate at which the master talon sends updated values to the slave talon and is there a way to manually specify this rate? I know the API allows you to set the control frame period sent from the roboRIO to the talons but is there a way to set the period of the frames sent from one talon to another?
I’m not sure how you change it, but according to this, “By default, (the slave update rate) is 100Hz (every 0.01s) for Talons and Sparks”
Well that’s good to know …and a bit slow for me. I’ll keep looking for a way to increase the update rate. Thanks.
