I’m new to coding a robot, and I was wondering what control loss and control loss equations equations meant in coding robots.
Can you elaborate where you heard these terms? That’s not a terminology I’ve heard used, at least. Do you mean control systems, like closed loop control?
I’m doing a question, and it says that the control loss brought about by a single control is u^2 = x^2 + y^2.
Do you mean control law?
A control law is a function that relates a controller’s output with the system’s states. For instance, if I have a turret with states θ (angle) and θ’ (angular velocity) and the output of my controller is target angular acceleration, I could set up a control law for a simple PD controller with
u = Kp*(θ_ref - θ) + Kd*-θ'.
What system is this for? You mentioned a question, is this for an academic course or something?
