Control Station Fabrication Question...

I understand that teams can not modify the configuration of the control station. Because of this, do the same fabrication restrictions apply to it. More Specifically:

Can teams use tools that are not on the approved tools list to fabricate the controll station board? (eg. a shear to cut the material)

Must the controll station board be built from legal materials? (eg. can we use Polycarbonate that is greater than 1/4" thick?)

Can adults on rookie teams help build the control station? (Allows the students more time to work on the robot)

Thanks,

Jim Meyer

The control station MUST be in the configuration (layout) as prescribed in the rules that were given/shown.

Teams may use any material for the “Board”. Material restrictions do no apply here only.

Teams may not add switches, different joy sticks or replace controls with diffferent of additional items.

Adults may assist in the assembley of the controls as there is no competitive advantage since all the controls are the same.

Remember the “Robot” is off limits to adult help of this type. There is a difference.
