If you’re like us and have a limited amount of room to store your field elements… you might be looking for ways to optimize your field build. Since the dimensions are the same we decided to build a convertible Amp/Trap mechanism. Here’s how it works if anybody is interested!
The gameplan will be to place sandbags on the base and also prop it up against a wall during testing.
I havent had time to dig into the field element files yet, but is this something easily enough assembled with parts from the Trap and Amp drawings provided by FIRST? Or did you need to cut “custom” parts for this?
If the latter, any chance you could provide a cut list?
Please give the measurements and possible building instructions if you can!!! This looks like it could be very very helpful for a lot of teams.
a neat idea, but I’m thinking the “flap” on the trap is going to be pretty important in the development of whatever mechanism you might design to score the trap
