I saw this beautiful creation, I think I’ve found my soulmate 
It actually was pretty cool, it’s base is just the drivetrain of an iBOT and it uses machine learning so it doesn’t run people over. It drove around giving out cool FedEx stuff like pens and a usb hub that’ll probably light on fire

all of the teams on qual 11 roebling red alliance were bird themed (eagle or hawk)
the mics not working during einsteins, or them thinking the mics were off but they were not
my friend who likes monkeys (a lot) got to moeet the funky monkeys and they let him place his monkey on their bot

At one point my dad and I ubered from our hotel to champs and were telling our driver about FIRST and we drove by a lot of people walking in. Best part was driving by the Elvis impersonator from 2992 and the driver just went, “is that an Elvis impersonator?!” He was so confused but also seemed rlly interested in champs

There was a team that had an LTE modem on their pit that provided their pit computer (a rack mount server console drawer) with internet. They also had a licensed and FRC legal wireless solution to beam internet to their apprentice team’s pit. They also had a VOIP phone that allowed them to call their apprentice team’s pit

I came across some members of 2582 who won the Team Spirit Award at FiT Champs, partly because of their very liberal distribution of glitter and self-adhesive gems to members of other teams and many volunteers. They said the area where their pit was 2 weeks ago still shows evidence of glitter.

@anon91718515 rocking short shorts, a fanny pack, and a Protect Trans Kids ribbon on his name tag spending a significant amount of time helping teams in need was without a doubt the coolest thing I saw at champs. FRC could do with more mentors like him! Thanks for all you do Joel!
