I really thought there was a COTS chain clamping block that clamped multiple links, something like this:
But, I can’t find such a thing at any of the usual FRC suppliers. Is such a thing available? Am I dreaming?

Not quite like that, but the greyt elevator system uses a chain clamping plate that runs #4 screws through the chain . Here is a screen shot from the manual.
Vex has a similar chain mount plate to the Greyt one above:
Andy Mark has a different sort of chain mount:
You can also use half a chain tensioner and mount it to a hole on your slide with a nut or two. There are others, but here’s one:
