We have made an elevator but not one to lift other robots. Researching, it appears the mechanics are the same but we are wondering if any/all of the COTS bearing kits are strong enough to handle 3 robots (us and 2 of our buddies). We are looking for one that is very compact since some require several inches of spacing between them. Can’t find maximum weight recommendations published.
Also wondering about cable recommendations. We have used Dyneema for the second stage cascade setup, which looks very strong but we had to deal with compensating for the stretch after use for which we used a spring, which would obviously not work in this application.
