COTS Vendor Directory

It is so helpful that there are so many different COTS vendors in the FRC space these days. Everyday here on Chief Delphi I feel like some new other company has started up and is selling another great solution. You can solve pretty much any problem that you might need with just a few clicks, but where should you be clicking? I tried to find a list that I could save and have a directory to go to when I need help, but I couldn’t. I am trying to create a list of vendors so that others that are old and losing their memories like me can have a resource to refer back to.

Software Libraries

Also, I am sure that I missing a bunch and would love to add them! I recently read that posts can be wikis and I think this could be a good one.

Vendors with SW libraries are listed here: https://docs.wpilib.org/en/latest/docs/software/wpilib-overview/3rd-party-libraries.html

We have tried our best to manage a full list of them on our website at http://findrobotparts.com/

I have also noticed several new ones in the last couple days and we plan to update the website soon with those.

I’ve been using findrobotparts more and more recently. It must take a huge amount of work to keep the database updated, but it’s really useful. Thanks!

I recently put this together. Kinda tailored to my region, North Texas, and certainly not comprehensive.

This is incredible, thank you for sharing!

Fun with fusion or it’s playing with fusion is one too. I always forget

Glad you like it. We do go through months where we don’t touch it and then months where we are updating it all the time. Just like the FRC year it ebbs and flows in how much work we put into it.

The post is now a Wiki so others can edit it with additional suppliers.

Should non-FRC specific vendors that are still super useful be listed? For example McMaster.

Sure!

We’ve ordered belts from B&B Manufacturing the past few years, they are a good alternate to Stock Drive Products.

You should at least keep the FRC vs non-frc vendors separate on your list. The non-frc side could get huge

I just split it out now.

Great list! I’m going to borrow it and the earlier one up thread.

Your list is pretty thorough. So I thought I’d add a spot for MicroCenter, since we buy filament, PLA+ mostly, there and Dallas has a store. Good stop of RPi & accessories, a lot of the hobbyist electronics, ethernet/usb cables, etc.
