Would wheel PSI make any difference? If so, slightly-deflated wheels might be able to get up.

The tires have a diameter of 19 inches, so it would be a stretch. It would have to climb vertically 3.5" before the wheels could get any support. That iBOT, though…

Is there someone (probably Dean Kamen) riding it? If so, he could try to do bunny hops with slightly over-inflated tires. That might be enough to get those 3.5 inches…

Possibly if it used the second platform as an intermediate, but keep in mind the segway doesn’t have to worry about bumper rules.

True, but a segway does not have bumpers on it. If you were trying to use the sheer size of wheels to get up, you’d need very large wheels and you can’t change wheels mid-match. Sorry if I wasn’t clear on that. Though if a segway were to compete it’d need bumpers, so you can just negate what I said.
