I was going through the rulebook and found myself slightly confused about which areas on the field a robot would be protected from opposing robot contact. Last year it felt pretty clearly stated that the Community and Loading Zones were safe-zones, but I couldn’t find the same clarity in this year’s rulebook. Any thoughts? Thanks!
-while touching the podium
-stage in the last 20 seconds
-feeder
thats what i remember
In terms of common robot contact penalties, the total list is the podium if a robot is touching it (G422), the source is a part of the robot is in the source zone (G423), a robot if it is off the ground in general which means a robot that has climbed or at all in the opposing stage zone at the last 20 (G424), the zone indicated around the amp (G423), or after 5 seconds of pinning a robot against any object (G420). Along with extending into a robots frame perimeter (G417). And no tipping robots which with gp should be obvious (G419). This is everything to the best of my knowledge.
