cRIO: Hopeless?

Okay, here’s my problem: The cRIO refuses to connect to the wireless network with an IP of anything except 10.0.0.2 Also when I try to re-image (without format) it tells me this:

Unable to complete operation because of unexpected error 59:
TCP Open Connection in repFPC open connection.vi->SendRebootCmd.vi->RebootSystem.vi->ConfigUtility.lvlib:ReImageTarget.vi->ConfigUtility.lvlib:Dialog.vi

Yet the imaging tool detects it? Any ideas, I’ve been trying to figure this out for five straight hours and I’m starting to get a little frustrated.

Ok, so when you run the imaging tool, down in the bottom of the window do you get the option to reset the IP address or team ID? Also, have you COMPLETELY powered down all components and rebooted them in the correct order?

I suggest re-reading the documentation here:

If that doesn’t help, the go direct to NI forums and pose your question there. Their website is:

Good Luck!

We had the same problem. I ended up temporarily changing the laptop IP back to the team 0000 default, i.e. 10.0.0.6. This worked for the update and then I changed it all back to the IP for our team.

I have had that problem as well. It may have to do with the netmask set on the PC.

The problem seems to be that the network communication gets dropped when the crio reimaging tool resets (changes) the network number.

We got better results when we had the crio attached by a cable directly to our computer doing the imaging.

Lately it has been working better through the router for us so we haven’t gone to that extreme.

We had similar problem using Wireless, but fixed when connecting PC->DS->cRIO directly

Much thanks to all the advice, my solution was to set my computer IP to 10.0.0.6 to reflash, it worked like a charm. Can’t believe I didn’t think of that :ahh:
