cRio memory

How much memory is on the cRio for us to use?

according to WPI there is
64MB DRAM
128MB non-volatile flash memory
2M gate FPGA for all digital I/O and hardware level support for quadrature encoders and analog oversampling

the 128 mb is taken up partialy by your program and the os (vxworks 6.3)

at least 100mb for your own use then

Really? I know we did a test of how long the robot would function if we forgot to turn off the camera while it was taking pictures, so w waited 5 minutes while it took photos, then we turned it off, and found ~1300 photos and I forget the size, but I remember we calculated it and decided it had more than ~128MB, and someone looked it up and found 2GB (sorry, I did not see this)

2 GB?!?!

That would be very cool, but i don’t think that any cRio models have that much
Though there is a flash card module that NI sells, it takes camera cards.
i think if ever we were able to use it, i would have it make and store a regional’s worth of camera footage
