CRio more than nationals

i was snooping around looking for the ciro and found it on the NI web site and my jaw Droped:eek: when i saw the total price.

heres the same link:

Old news.

Pricing is still being negotiated for a discount to FIRST teams (for a second one that is, the first one will come with your kit (ie: part of registration).

And, the cRIO we will be getting is customized for us, not the stock one, if nothing else, with just a FIRST logo printed on it. (But I’m sure it’s customized a bit more than that)

Considering that that price is higher than our registration costs, and we’re getting full support from NI, I’d say we’re getting a very good deal and that we should thank NI.

Thanks NI.

Let the games begin

I wrote a grant application yesterday asking for funds to purchase a second unit.

I second that Thanks Alot NI

Indeed, NI is to be thanked profusely, they are certainly not making anything close to a profit at the moment on this.

Thank you **National Instruments **for your exceptional support of FIRST Robotics.

A representative from NI said that each team will be expected to use their cRIO for at least 4 years before receiving a new one in their kit. Guess we don’t have to worry about where to store all the old robots anymore!

It’s still an amazing and generous opportunity provided by NI, the wireless debugging is really great and I can’t wait to use the NI Vision tools!
