The cRIO should be electrically isolated from the rest of the robot. IE, mount it on some thick plexiglass or something. However you go though, no conductive material can run between the cRIO and the rest of the robot (control system / wires excluded of course)

Actually, the correct answer is no. See [R38]. All components must be isolated from the robot frame; particularly note the blue box in [R38].
That one bit me in the butt. On a test platform, we had forgotten to remove some loose wires connected to the power distribution board, and whenever the bot was bumped, the radio reset. I actually thought it was pretty cool to see that kind of science in action but my mentor was… less excited.
