We used a surgical tube roller for the first time this year and a couple of months after our lsat competition, our robot has sat in a room that was not in direct sunlight but now has a white crust all over it. Does anyone know what that is and how we can fix it?
Typical latex tubing behavior–it’s aged a bit. You might be able to refresh it with some sort of liquid, but I don’t know what to use.
Your best bet is probably to change out the surgical tubing.
Rubbing alcohol will clean it, but it has lost some of its elasticity and won’t work quite as well. No worries, it’ll be pretty close.
