CTRE Mag Absolute Encoder giving Absurd Start Values in Competetion

Might sound very absurd, but it’s true and I could not figure out why. So during our preparation to Off-Season last month, we used magnetic encoders for absolute values with Talons and it was fine as wine. It all came down to our second match when I saw our magnetic encoders started with a value approximately 3000 more than it was supposed to. Our presets became all useless. After the match I wanted to check and it was the same. So I had to change our presets to higher values. Next match started and the encoders were giving the previous, intended values, the lower ones. I was furious. At this point I changed it to a relative encoder because I couldn’t think of a solution.

Has anyone had such an incident before? How do you use your magnetic encoder with Sparks and Talons? What have I potentially done wrong?

I know the question is pretty vague and not very much technical detail was provided but any help would be appreaciated. Thx in advance

How are they wired, and to what? Link to code? We’ve used these for several years, without any problems (we did have a bunch of iron filings stuck to our magnets that we needed to clean off, once).
