CURIE Discussion - 2007 Championship

Is anyone ready to rock the house? So who is going to be the next National Champion out of the Curie Division? The possible alliance combinations out of this division are … ?

Hey! Don’t scare the other divisions!:yikes:

1114, 67, 469, 330, 118–Some of the biggest guns this year, and at least three of those five have won a regional. I’m not going to make any predictions about alliances until the picking.

I think the hybrid ramp/ringer bots will be the key to victory in Championship elimination rounds. Curie has 3 of the best in 330, 469, and 1114.

I said I wouldn’t make any predictions, except now I will make one.

No more than two of the following teams will be on the same alliance, barring a miracle: 67, 330, 469, 1114, any other good hybrid-class robot.

I completely forgot HOT was a hybrid too

Cyberblue will be coming into this division with 2 regional victories at Boilermaker and LI.

We’re a hybrid, too.

Wow Gael Force (Boston Winner), 558(amazing ramp bot, winner of UTC piggybacking 195 and 1124)

1065 is a hybrid too, but we’re going for a new strategy for champs, we are planning to be able to change the function of the robot to best fit our alliance.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there and having a great competition

I’m speechless…seriously…I am.

At the same time, I’m really pumped for this division, due to the level of competition and the headache pretty much everyone has to go through for the alliances.
I’m also happy to see that our partners in crime from NASA/VCU (semi-finalists) 343 and from Chesapeake (Finalists) 339 are in the same division. May be if the stars allign well, we can group up again and rock this division

612 is indeed a hybrid bot…but we are also known as

We’ll see that ATL has cooking for us. I’m ready

Imad

Team 141 is a hybrid as well…and we’re pumped for the championship.

It shall be a good division. I can’t wait =D

Ramps are going to be big factor. This was proven during the finals at the Palmetto Regional. Hybrid robots combined with great defense is going to be huge.

*FYI
1535 is not a rookie team, last year we were half of team 1596 - the International Instigators - but grew too large and split into 1596 and 1535. This is our 3rd year and 2nd time in Atlanta (2005 Rookie All-Stars at GLR in Ypsilanti). Looking forward to joining all of our friends again this year.
see you all in ATL!

Wow… Curie is going to be intense. Good luck, teams

Where exactly do you find what devision you are in. I saw another user list us (1102) in curie, but I’m not quite sure. We only got in after winning an award so we may just not be on this list…anyone know where to find it?

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=56549 has the official list linked.

Uh-oh! Curie is pretty stacked. I’m a bit worried…

…in a good way, of course!

With all you dual purpose bots you’ll need a good sole-purpose tube scorer in 648 thumbsup.

Team 357 is a Dangerous hybrid too. we can not only score ringers but we can also lift flat
