Custom Control Panel Mechanism

Some might say all you need for the control panel is a BAG with a compliant wheel on it, but why do that when you can do something way more complicated?

This is a Control Panel mechanism powered by a BAG motor with an 9:1 custom planetary reduction, directly powering a 4 In flex wheel. The 1/2" shaft in the middle is there for structural support, the wheel is essentially dead axle.
A 3x3.5 Inch bearing supports the carrier assembly from falling through the bottom, while a 4mm polycarbonate ring prevents it from going through the top. It holds a color sensor at the tip, which goes under the trench, while the wheel is high enough to go above it and reach the control panel itself.
The main plate can really only be made with waterjet or laser, but pretty much everything else can be machined with a CNC and a lathe.

If for some reason you really want the CAD:

Very Innovative, tho a strain wave gearboxy thing would be innovativer.
